Tom is the Executive Vice President of an award-winning International Truck dealer, Peterson Trucks, based in California and Oregon.  Tom also is an award-winning lecturer (3 times!) at Cal State East Bay for a class that many students call “Life-changing” and “Transformational.”  The class is a fusion of Positive Psychology, Theatre, Economics, and Cross-Cultural Anthropology.

Tom’s past efforts include being recognized by Caterpillar for numerous marketing awards, including “Marketing Department of the Year.”  At Peterson Trucks, Tom’s team won multiple Open-Book Management Awards.  He is also a sought-after speaker whose message resonates with a wide range of audiences.

A life-long learner, Tom graduated from UC Berkeley (BA, Economics & History), the University of Chicago (MBA, Finance & Marketing), and from the University of Pennsylvania (Master of Applied Positive Psychology). Tom is also a recognized Executive Scholar Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in Sales and Marketing, a Certified Executive Coach at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.  In 2020, Tom received his certificate in Appreciative Inquiry from the Weatherhead School of Business at Case Western Reserve University.  In his spare time, Tom enthusiastically takes acting classes!
